Donna, after reading your post about how cold it is where you are on your other blog, I thought of you just now when reading "Antarctic Working Conditions" on the Antarctic Conservation Blog. The blog is written by a group of convservationists working on preserving the artifacts and cabins used by Antarctic explorers Scott and Shackleton.

Looks like life goes on even at 20 below zero. Have you completely adapted yet or are your Virginia habits still with you?

Oregon and Al, When we first arrived here people told us we had to keep busy no matter how cold it gets. The winters are so long here that it would be easy to become a recluse, which for some people isn't too great for mental health. It seems hard to believe that one could get used to these temps, but people do, as you can see from the people walking around just going about their business. It's hard right now, but it's an adventure, to be sure!
Laura, Bren was very happy; the pup no so much, as Bren pulled her out of a warm pile of sleeping siblings! Poor thing!
Kids and dogs! I love it! These pictures are amazing. But, brrrrrr!
I absolutely love husky pups! Oh they are so adorable... I totally wish I was there to see them!
